Japanese tradition

My poems are written in the form of traditional Japanese poetry called Waka.

First records of Waka poetry are from the 8th century.

The early Waka poetry

had various forms, but throughout the centuries the shortest form, called Tanka,

became the most popular one. Today, most Waka poetry follows the form of Tanka.

A black coal meadow

Moss covers deserted mines

climbs excavators

grass conquers pits of wasteland

and people go for a walk
